# Welcome to the CoreTone API

The CoreTone API powers **YourWave**, a behavioral intelligence platform that helps you understand how people communicate, decide, and build trust, then use that understanding to connect more effectively.

## What You Can Build

The CoreTone API enables you to integrate behavioral intelligence into your own applications:

**Profile Lookup** — Retrieve a contact's behavioral profile including their Worldview, Operating Style, Decision Drivers, and Communication Style.

**Wave Composition** — Generate personalized outreach messages calibrated to a receiver's communication preferences.

**Rephrase** — Transform any message to match a specific contact's preferred communication style.

**Meeting Prep** — Get AI-generated talking points, approach strategy, and conversation openers tailored to a specific person.

## How It Works

CoreTone uses a proprietary methodology called **ToneMap** to build compound behavioral profiles from multiple data sources. Each profile maps four layers of behavioral intelligence:

1. **Worldview** — How a person organizes meaning and values
2. **Operating Style** — How a person creates and delivers value
3. **Decision Drivers** — What a person moves toward and away from
4. **Communication Style** — How a person processes and transmits meaning

These layers combine to produce actionable insights: Connection Language rules, Tone Zone readiness indicators, and personalized communication recommendations.
